Quail processing line including live quail killing, (bleeding), scalding, de-feathering, evisceration, and final products packing.

There are two kinds of killing way optional to meet different client needs. First is killing and bleeding, the other is directly drowning without bleeding.

The quail or pigeon bleeding time is around 2-2.5 minutes, and scalding around 45 seconds with the water temperature around 55-57℃, the plucking time is about 40 seconds. Considering the week legs quail or pigeon have, CONNECT use flat feather plucking machine to clean the hair. After cleaning the feather, the quail is rehanging back to the overhead conveyor line shackles for further processing, such as removing the head or paw if needs, and then eviscerating to cleaning the inside. After evisceration, for keeping the meat quality, the pre-chilling is needed to cooling down the birds body temperature around 4 ℃ before packing or other processing.
